Title: The Three Keys to (True) Success
Category: Positive Parenting
I.
TO LOSE YOURSELF IN OTHERS
"The best way to find
When you are truly involved with a mission, a purpose,
something exciting you can pour yourself into, you
directly lose yourself in helping others and in
serving God and making the world a better place.
Time takes on a different dimension and you are
totally unaware of yourself because of your
overpowering involvement in your activity. Because of this it is vital to find a field
to pour your talents into which you love.
Don't be afraid to go against plans others have for you; find your own
mission; pray, read, study and tune into your creative
self-conscious
to find the answer.
II.
GO THE EXTRA MILE
When Jesus was asked "Should a man walk a mile
with another man" he said, "Yes, in fact walk an extra
mile". This is what it takes to be a
leader or to be on top in any field or profession.
Study harder, work smarter, (the woodcutter story),
work harder and longer to get the edge over your
competition. In working smarter, be a goal setter (write down your
goals), set a time limit, share
them with a significant friend you trust.
In working smart,
develop communication skills (80% of success depends on
it) both speaking and listening
(be a selfish listener)
Be a reader and continually educate yourself in
your field and in a broad overall education (listen
to tapes, read motivation books, attend rallies and speeches, expose
yourself to uplifting people and environments, run away from negative influences).
III.
SEEK LOVE AS YOUR GREATEST ASSET
God is love (Gospel of John); as we grow in love we grow in Godliness.
To love another person is to touch the face of God
(The stage play, LES MISERABLES)
St. Paul said the most important qualities to strive for through the Holy Spirit, were faith, hope and love and
the greatest, by far, was love.
Jesus said the greatest two commandments were to
love God and to love neighbor, and he wanted his disciples to be
Follow Jesus example of serving others and loving
your spouse, your friends
and everyone you encounter just as Jesus loved every one including the sinners, the prostitutes and those
in most need of help.
Through your life accomplishments make the world
a better place and let your loving nature be the character trait emblazoned on your tombstone.
